It Was great to return after over 50 years. as A Ten year old I Lived in the lodge in the early 1950's. My father Walter Fineron was the chaffereur for the Vicars family who resided in Coed-y-Celyn then. ( The last owners of all the estate) It has been a wonderful experience down memory lane to stay in the "Big House" whilst looking out at the Lodge.
I have fond memories of roaming around the grounds and playing the game of " How many places i could cross the river without falling in ".
The apartment is excellent and a big improvement on the former kitchen which was the only area I was allowed in !

Wow ! From the first friendly emails & phone calls our holiday has been fantastic. Everything has been thought of to make exploring the beautiful welsh countryside.
Highlights have included: " Ewe -phoria " Sheep dog traininfg centre, Conwy, Bodnant Garden and Swallow Falls., Michael and Tracy's video/DVD service ( Spiderman went down very well thanks, after all the rain). And even laura's Clarinet practice was not too much. It's a great conversion, well done & see you again no doubt.

After spending the first week of our holiday in busy London, Coed y Celyn was a welcome change. 1st visit to this area and really enjoyed it. Lots to see and do. Didn't manage to get up snowdon, to lazy to walk & massive quere for the train. We did go on the Tram at LLandudno which was interesting and also the steam train from Porthmadog to Ffestiniog is well worth doing. We would love to come back during a better british summer and the things we didn't have time for this year. Would certainly stay here again.

Went to top of Snowdon I'm really proud of myself the wind and mist at the top was horrible but I am so glad I did it. The accommodation was excellent and Michael has been a splendid host. Thank you Mike and Tracy for a comfortable stay. There was not one thing that we needed. Very lucky with the weather, View from the top of Snowdon was sunny and clear ( V. C. old though)Mikes reccommendation of Black rock sands very worthwhile, the mountain back drop to the beaches is breath taking. Truly great holiday.

Yes, we came back. Having 4 teenagers with us this year was a bit daunting, but this is such a wonderful place with lots to do, we managed to exhuast them them all ! They highly recommend Bala white water rafting, Treetops adventure, Snowdon and the Quad Trekking at the Ewe-phoria, Oh and the Go karts too ! Tracy and Michael have been on hand to help with directions etc. The apartment has been superbly equipped a great. A Truly great holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the warm welcome. We found the apartment very well equipped and found the tips and recommendations very useful as well as the weather forcasts. We enjoyed the male voice choir at St Mary's Church on sunday night, and many breat walks. We would recommend Y Garn via Devils Kitchen for fantastic views. We would also recommend the Bistro-y-Coed. The bread abd butter pudding at the royal Oak Bistro. And the Tea cakes at the alpine cafe.

Had a wonderful holiday ( Even thou it rained a lot. accommodation is fantastic, Best we've stayed in - everything has been thought of. Michael & Tracy "(and the 2 girls)" made us feel at home and gave us lots of useful tips and information. A very enjoyable week, Thank you ! Lovely accommodation and perfect location. Recommend views from Castell Dinas Bran, Snowdon and cycle ride from Dolgellau to Barmouth ( leisurely, good fish and chips ! ) and back via Arthog and Cregennan Lakes ( not leisurely, but good views! ) Enjoyed the male voice choir on sunday and excellent meal at Bistro Betws-y-Coed. Treetops good fun. Thank you. We will be back.

An Absolutely wonderful apartment and place to stay. Thankyou Michael and Tracy for your wonderful hospitality and advice and for making our visit our visit so enjoyable. We had fantastic weather and went on some great walks. I came to Betws-y-Coed as a little girl with my brother and it has been really lovely to take my children around and revisit places. The children loved it here from the apartment to the hill side picnics in the carwith the sheep watching1 We are already planning our returnStay ! Michael and Tracy couldn't be more nicer than they are. Thank you both very Much. XX

Really comfortable & great lOcation. The owners are really helpful and friendly. If you do a walk on Page 37 in Walks around Betws-y-Coed ask the owners fo rthe short cut !! It's pretty dangerous on the decent in wet weather. Great break.
